Helen Bodine

Helen June (Poucher) Bodine, age 92, from Westminster entered peacefully into eternal life on April 18, 2016. She was called June by all who loved her. June and her twin brother, Howell Junior Poucher, were born in Denver, Colorado on October 23, 1923 to parents Hazel Belle Fisk and Roy Howell Poucher. Her parents later moved to Clinton, Michigan. In December 1942, June met her sweetheart, William Merrill Bodine, where they worked together at a defense manufacturing plant in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Merrill asked June to marry him on their second date and she said “yes”. After they were married on May 29, 1943, they lived in Ann Arbor moving to Westminster, Colorado on October 31, 1973. June and Merrill would have been married 73 years in May 2016. Her beloved husband, Merrill, and her beloved twin brother, Howell, survive her. June has two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Rebecca, and Allen and Gina. She has seven grandchildren Marne, Amanda, Sarah, Christopher, Elizabeth, Matthew & Rebekah, and four great grandchildren Benjamin, Jeremy, Travis and Laydon. June also has numerous beloved nieces and nephews and many dear friends and neighbors, many of whom called her “grandma”. Her siblings, Ruth “Sister”, Elmer “Duane”, and Marion, preceded June in death.
