George Boulette
July 5th, 1930 - January 5th, 2017
"Monson-George Boulette, Jr. passed away January 5, 2017 suddenly at home. Born July 5, 1930 in E.Brookfield, MA, he was son of George W. and Sylvia Boulette. George grew up in the Brookfields and has lived in Monson for the past 48 years. He proudly served his country in the US Navy during Korea and was a dedicated 47 year employee at Springfield Steel Erectors. As a member of the local 98, he also ran the retiree club. George was also a member of the Day Spring Masonic Lodge in Monson. He enjoyed fly fishing and hunting. His greatest passion was time spent with his family. Whether it be family vacations, getting together for a "good party" or the annual "George-a-palooza" in the backyard, George loved being with his family. He will be dearly missed by his wife, Joan (McGuire) along with his children, Bonnie Boulette-Harrington of Sturbridge, Laurie Boulette and her wife Mary Boulette of Monson, and Sherry Boulette and her companion Michael Beaucage of Sturbridge along with his sister, Pearl Cardinale, 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. A Masonic Service Wednesday, Jan. 11th at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with military honors and burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Monson. "
