"Granby - Marcelle M. (St Cyr) Morrissette, 95, passed away peacefully at her residence with the love of her family surrounding her. Born May 28, 1921 in Davelyville, Quebec, Canada, she the daughter of Arthur and Maria Dorila (Arseneault) St. Cyr. Marcelle graduated from Cathedral High School and was a sales clerk at Two Guys in Chicopee for many years. Marcelle has lived in Granby for over 50 years, previously of Chicopee. She was a member of Women's Guild and was very crafty. She loved to make things for nursing home craft fairs and to create cake centerpieces and do cake decorating. In 1989, she was predeceased by her husband Lionel A. Morrissette and she will be dearly missed by her children, Paul and his wife Marta of Granby, Raymond and his wife Carol of Granby, Roger and his wife Valenda of N.H., Theresa Boissonnault and her husband Ronald of S.Hadley, Linda Dugre and her husband Jerry of Chicopee, Veronica Mutti and her husband Alfred of Springfield, and daughter in law, Barbara of Belchertown. She was predeceased by her son Arthur L. in 2003 and adopted daughter Rita Desroches in 2004. Marcelle also leaves her sister, Fernande Longo of Longmeadow, 22 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, Jan. 3rd from 4-7:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church with burial to follow in St. Rose DeLima Cemetery. For those wishing, you may gather at the funeral home on Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Western Mass Elder Care or American Heart Association. "
