Maria Pitsikoulis Fotinos, 71, of Iron Station, North Carolina, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2020. Born Sunday, October 30, 1949, in Biki, Chios, Greece, she was the daughter of the late Pete and Smaragda Pitsikoulis Maria was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. Maria had a selfless soul and was known for her giving nature. She moved to the States in 1971 and began the start of her beautiful family in 1972. Maria enjoyed cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family. She always enjoyed watching her grandchildren play soccer and attend gymnastic meets. Maria is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Nikolas Fotinos; sons, Michael Fotinos and his wife, Penny; grandchildren, Nicholas, Kalliopi, Panagioti and Tatiana; Dr. Peter Fotinos and his wife, Virginia, brothers, Stacey, George and Mike; and many more loving family and friends. The familiy will receive friends at 11:30 AM with a service for immediate family only to start at 12 Noon Tuesday, December 8, 2020 with Rev. Father Vasileios officiating. A graveside will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Charlotte, NC. There will be a livestream of the service for those of you who would like to join, pleas visit https://vimeo.com/event/165729/457c79a80e.
