Lynn Faye Cohen, of Charlotte, NC passed away on Wednesday, February 24th, 2016 at the age of 72 at Carolina Medical Center, Mercy Division. She was born in Washington, DC where she grew up with her older brother, Bernie. Despite being born with Cerebral Palsy, Lynn's energy, humor and love for people was evident at all times. For over 26 years, Lynn had worked as a Mail Clerk with the Department of Health and Human Services in Silver Spring, MD where she resided for the majority of her life. She relocated to Charlotte, NC in March of 2014 in order to be close to her remaining family including her brother, Bernie Cohen, and his wife Roz, of Clover, SC and nephew, Bryan L. Cohen of Charlotte, NC. Lynn is survived by her nephew Bryan L. Cohen and his wife Beth of Charlotte, NC niece Stephanie Morse, and her husband Greg, of Carmel, California and sister-in-law Roz Cohen of Clover, SC. She is also survived by her nephew Cooper Morse, and her niece Colby Morse both of California. In addition to her late parents, Sidney B. Cohen and Pearl Ehrlich Cohen, she was preceded in death by her loving brother Bernie A. Cohen on January 24, 2015. There will be a memorial service to celebrate Lynn's life at 1:00pm on Sunday, March 6th, 2016 in the Chapel at Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service 1111 East Boulevard, Charlotte, NC28203. In lieu of flowers, donations honoring Lynn's memory may be made to the Easter Seals United Cerebral Palsy.
