Robert P Beaulieu
January 19th, 1935 - May 13th, 2022
Amherst—Robert P. Beaulieu, 87, passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, May 13, 2022 with his family by his side. Robert was born January 19, 1935 in Newburyport, MA to the late Alfred T. Beaulieu and Ora (Lexebire) Beaulieu, both of Salisbury Beach. Robert was a longtime resident of Amherst along with his wife of 60 years, Gladys H. (Battistoni) Beaulieu. After attending Smith Vocational High School, he went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged as a Vietnam Veteran. Following his service, Robert worked as a fireman at the UMASS Power Plant until he retired. Robert enjoyed camping, fishing, bike rides, walking on the beach, traveling, family gatherings, gardening, feeding the birds and chipmunks, as well as all of his beloved pets. Robert will be dearly missed by all who knew him, including his loving daughters, Veronica Mathews and her husband, Michael, of Belchertown and Margaret Coffey of Amherst; his son, Robert Beaulieu and his wife, Bonnie, of Ware; his grandchildren Robert J. Beaulieu and Emily Jones of Amherst, Alex T. Beaulieu of Amherst, Christopher Beaulieu and Jessica Bregler of Berlin, NH, and Kyle Coffee of Amherst; his 4 great- granddaughters and 1 great- grandson; his sister, Lucille Guerrin; as well as many extended family members and friends. A graveside service will be held Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 11:00am in St. Brigid’s Cemetery, Hadley, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Second Chance Animal Services Adoption Center, https://www.secondchanceanimals.org/donate/
