March 6th, 1928 - June 15th, 2012
Kernersville - Mary Virginia "Ginny" Hale died Friday, June 15, 2012 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Deacon Gene Gillis officiating. Interment will follow in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory, Kernersville. A native of Utica, New York, she was the daughter of the late Griffith M. and Marguerite Lighton Jones. She retired from the Winston-Salem Forsyth County School System and was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kernersville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert P. Hale, Sr. and her daughter, Beth Anne Hale. She is survived by her children, Robert P. Hale, Jr., (Peggy) of Athens, GA, William E. Hale (Jeannie) of Upton, MA, Barbara A. Davis (Dennis) of Belews Creek, Nancy H. Davis (Chuck) of Belews Creek, and Susan H. Flynt (Clay) of Kernersville; her grandchildren, Joseph R. Hale, Ryan W. Hale, Christopher E. Davis, Sean C. Flynt, Robert " Charlie" Davis, William P. Davis, Ashley J. Hale, Kaitlin E. Hale, Molly F. Stoltz, and Abby J. Flynt; great-grandchildren, Dash G. Stoltz, River J. Stoltz and Evan J. Davis. The family will receive friends from 10:00AM until the time of service at the church on Saturday. Her sweet smile, caring spirit, love and warmth will be forever missed. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103, or The Shepherds Center, 431 Bodenhamer Street, Kernersville, NC 27284.
