March 23rd, 1942 - November 26th, 2014
Winston-Salem-John Arthur Sellers, Sr., 72, passed away Wednesday November 26, 2014. A native of Clarksville, Indiana, John was the son of the late Georgianna Sue Anderson Sellers and Norman William Sellers. He served his country with the United States Navy. He worked in the Furniture Industry for his entire career as a representative and in management positions for numerous companies. He also was very active with the VFW in Winston-Salem and Kernersville. In addition to his parents, he also was preceded in death by his sister Joyce and a granddaughter Jennifer McCormack. Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years Joan Eileen Life Sellers of the home; daughter Janis McCormack and Tom Krotz of Gastonia; son John Arthur Sellers, Jr. and Jane of Winston-Salem; grandchildren John McCormack, Jr. and Karene of Hamburg, Pennsylvania, Susan Israel of Asheville, and Byron Goode and Sue of Raleigh; brothers Don Hendricks and Joan, Harold Sellers, and Gary Sellers and Brenda. In lieu of flowers, contributions are asked to be made to the Disabled American Veterans DAV, in honor of John Sellers. Service Information
