Antonio Perez Garcia

Antonio Perez Garcia, age 80, of Salinas, CA, died Saturday, December 6, 2014 in Henderson, NV. Antonio was born May 10, 1934 in Gonzales, TX. The second of seven children of the late Fernando Rodriguez and the late Sara (Perez) Garcia. Antonio had a green thumb and had a career in agriculture, working in California, Oregon and Texas. He was a warm, loving man who had a passion for learning and a great mind. He had a good sense of humor, often laughing at his own jokes. He was a passionate storyteller and loved to fish, take long drives and tinker with anything mechanical. Some say he was a human GPS, being able to navigate everywhere he went. A loving and compassionate man, Antonio cared for his wife, Mary Feliciana for over 20 years prior to her death. Antonio is survived by his children Sarah Garcia (Perry Tricas) of Rialto CA, Rose Linda Garcia Martinez (Joe) of Salinas CA, Richard Garcia (Tina Marie) of Salinas CA, Terrie (Martin) Goint of Henderson and Cynthia Garcia of Salinas CA; grandchildren Louie (Miriam), Johnny, Octavio (Jessica), Rudy (Erandeay), Stevie (Maria), Joshua, Louie Jr. (Cindy), Lynette, Monique (Jacari), Tina, Andrew (Brianna), LeBrina (Bird), Richard Jr., Ambrosia, Cheyenne, Joe (Lisa), Martin (Liz), Jennifer (Anthony), Mari and Jacob; 42 great-grandchildren including his special travel partner, Nikki; and one great great granddaughter. He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Feliciana; son Anthony Garcia Jr, and daughter in law Letty Hernandez. A memorial mass will be held 11:00 am on Friday, December 12, 2014 at St Thomas More Catholic Church, 130 N Pecos Rd., Henderson, NV. .
