TETLOW, Amber Riederer of Grand County, Colorado. Born October 5th,1939 and raised in Westfield, New Jersey a daughter of the late William Ludwig Riederer and Helen Morgan Riederer. Amber passed away peacefully at her home at Majestic View in Arvada, Colorado on February 3rd, 2023 at the age of 83. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, William Lloyd Tetlow, Jr. Amber will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by their three children, and families; Jennifer Jouzdani (Ali, Arianna, Daria Jouzdani) of Boulder, CO, Rebecca Konjevod (Mara, Ana & Cooper Konjevod) of Broomfield, CO, and Derek Tetlow (Claire, Austin & Nate Tetlow) of Highlands Ranch, CO. Amber is survived by her two sisters, Katherine (Kitzi) Benner of St George, Maine and Elizabeth (Betsy) Harper of Rindge, New Hampshire. At Westfield High School in Westfield NJ, Amber held the position of Head Cheerleader. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education from Heidelberg University and then went on to complete, a Masters in College Student Personnel from Ohio University. She met her husband Bill while working as Dean of Women at Heidelberg and they were married June 13, 1964. They lived in Ithaca, NY while Bill completed his PhD at Cornell. Then in 1970 they moved to Vancouver British Columbia. After raising her three children in Vancouver, the family moved to Boulder Colorado. She took a position at and retired from the University of Colorado as the Panhellenic Advisor. Upon retirement Amber and Bill moved to Grand County where Amber worked as a Guest Services Representative at Winter Park Ski Resort. They lived in Grand County until Bill’s passing in 2019. Amber loved skiing, golfing, entertaining, singing, sewing, quilting, and making Ambears (one of which is listed in the Teddy Bear Hall of Fame). She was a 50 year member and a past Chapter President of a philanthropic organization she held dear, PEO International. A celebration of Amber’s life will be held on Saturday February 25, 2023 at Family of Christ in Westminster, Colorado, presided over by Pastor Paul Jorden. The family would like to welcome all to a reception following the service.
