Douglas James Lemmon

Cocoa Fl – Doug Lemmon, 61, from Port St. John and a lifetime resident of Brevard County was received by our Lord and Savior on April 2nd, 2019. Doug was a graduate of Merritt Island High School class of 1976. He also held a master’s degree in social work (MSW) from Florida State University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida. Doug was a loving son and brother who loved sports both as a participant and as a fan. He was an ardent fan of Florida State University where he attended many football games. Doug worked for the State of Florida DCF as a case worker and ultimately as an instructor. Doug is survived by his mother, Betty Lemmon, his brother, Gary Lemmon (Annette Lemmon), a sister, Darlene King (Ed King) as well as many family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his loving wife JoAnn Hudson and his father, Gene Lemmon. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 P.M. on Saturday April 6th at New Life Christian Fellowship Church at 6755 US 1 Titusville, FL. Entombment will follow the service immediately at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home, 5475 US 1 Cocoa, FL. A reception will follow location will be announced at the funeral.
