Philip "Phil" Wayne Rooney
November 26th, 1975 - June 30th, 2020
Philip Rooney, age 44, of Cocoa Beach, Florida passed away June 30, 2020. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Anne, and their children Nathan, Leah and her partner Michael Abston. His mother Marcia Rooney, brother Chris Rooney and partner Bridget Johnson, niece Ayla Rooney. Along with his in-laws Lisa and David Durgin of Cocoa Beach. He was predeceased by his father Pat Rooney, and his grandparents Tom and Vera Tressler. Phil was a Realtor Broker Associate at Edwards Realty in Cocoa Beach for 18 years he worked and helped to build the family business. Phil was a family man first, his family was his world. He loved his wife and children. Anyone that knew him knew that he loved golf, horseshoes, and darts. He was an outstanding cook and hosted many of his famous barbecues. Phil has touched many lives in the community as a lifelong resident of Brevard County. He was a friend to many, never without a smile, and a good thing to say about everyone. His laugh was contagious! Phil would want us to list all of his friends, but there are hundreds of you! You all know who you are, and if you were touched by him you will have wonderful memories to carry you along. A memorial service for Phil will be held at the Space Coast Association of Realtors 2950 Pineda Plaza Way, Palm Shores, FL 32940 on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at 5:00 P.M.
