December 15th, 1943 - July 7th, 2018
Linda S. Bishop 74, of Duffield went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 7, 2018 with her family by her side. She was a graduate of Dungannon High School, following graduation she went on to work as a nurse for many years. Linda was of the Baptist faith and was an avid cat lover. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed. Linda was preceded in death by the love of her life, Earl Bishop; parents, Dayton and Pearl Sluss. Survivors include her daughter, Michelle “Penny” Ball and husband Larry; son, Eddie Bishop and wife, Michelle; grandchildren, Allen Qualls and wife Mistie, Eric and wife Miranda Qualls, Hunter Bishop, and Caden Bishop; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Adriana, Mikayla, and Eric Qualls; brother, Stanley Sluss and wife Dianne; along with several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. The family will receive friends from 5pm to 7pm on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Scott County Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow in the chapel with Pastor Cecil Kern officiating. Music will be provided by Chris Holder and Journey Home. The family will also receive friends anytime at their residence. A graveside service will be conducted at 11am on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at the Bishop Family Cemetery with Warren Bishop, Billy Bishop, Hunter Bishop, Tim Bowen, Eric Qualls, and Allen Qualls serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Jimmy Bishop. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10am to go in procession. Carter-Trent/Scott County Funeral Home is serving the Bishop family.
