Mr. Rick V. Watson, 63, of McLeansville, died May 10, 2011 at his residence. A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at Alamance Memorial Park, with Pastor Jerry Strader officiating. Mr. Watson was born September 28, 1947 to the late Franklin Thomas Watson and the late Betty Jean Freeland Lashmit. He was the owner and operator of Covered Wagon Dolls and Trains. He operated the business for many years with his mother, Jean Lashmit, until her death. They enjoyed a national reputation for the quality of their stock in dolls and trains. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Donald Lashmit. He is survived by his step sister, Ellen Finch. Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home is assisting the Watson family.
