Douglas Franklin Williams

Douglas F. Williams, Jr. 49 of Greensboro, NC passed away on March 11, 2017. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am March 14th, 2017. Visitation will be held at 10:00 am March 14th, with both at Newlyn Street United Methodist Church, 212 E. Newlyn St. Greensboro, NC. Rev. George Coates will conduct the service. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery following the service. Douglas was born in Greensboro, NC on October 1, 1967. Douglas worked as a mechanic for the last 20 years. Douglas enjoyed being outside, all sports (especially Carolina basketball), but most of all spending time with his grandchildren. Douglas is survived by his parents Doug and Christine Williams, brother Wayne Williams and wife Marjorie, sister Deanna Williams, his children Darlene (Williams) Sampson and husband, Lauren Williams and Randal Williams. He had five grandchildren, two nieces, three nephews and other family and friends. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the Newlyn Street United Methodist Church Choir Fund.
