Mrs. Ethel Ann Ezzell York, 69, of Greensboro, died Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Beacon Place. A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home, with the Reverend Don Clement officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm prior to the service. Burial will be at a later date in Clinton, NC. Mrs. York was born October 2, 1943, in Turkey, North Carolina to Carl Ezzell and Ethel Mize. She was married to Glenn L. York. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Charles David Mize and Joseph Wayne York. Mrs. York is survived by her husband of 42 years, Glenn L. York; daughter; Susie Morris (Ryan); grandchildren, Tommy Sliva (Christy) and Leslie Sliva; great-grandchildren, Addison and Kinsley Paige; sister, Minnie Ruth Moore; brothers, Kenneth Ezzell (Mary), Charles Ezzell (Libby) and George "Tene" Ezzell (Joy); numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27405.
