Mrs. Havoline C. Gschwind, 90, formerly of Greensboro, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 25, 2012, in Plano, Texas. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Monday, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Mark Shelley officiating. Burial will follow in Westminster Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2 pm Monday, prior to the service. Mrs. Gschwind was born May 4, 1922, in Rockingham County, to Sam and Bertha Dixon Comer and was living in Plano, TX. She was married to the late Edward Gschwind. Havoline and Edward enjoyed an amazing, loving, 59 year marriage until his death. Mrs. Gschwind fellowshipped with First Baptist Church Hebron in Carrollton, TX. Havoline loved her Lord, loved her family, was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening, loved music, remained involved in her church, and loved and enjoyed spending time with children. She was loved by all who knew her and will be deeply missed. She drove to her Christmas Eve church service, enjoyed the evening with family, and woke up Christmas Day in Heaven with her Lord. Mrs. Gschwind is survived by her daughter, Jennifer G. Bland (Steve); son, Darryl E. Gschwind (Fran); sister, Faye Long; seven grandchildren: Kimberly Bland, Brian Bland, Lauren Boyce, Emily Morris, Matthew Gschwind, Laura Gschwind, and Hannah Gschwind; five great grandchildren: Noah, Katelyn, and Maci Boyce, Sawyer and Hadley Bland. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children, 3800 North May Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK 73112.
