Hyon Bush

Hyon Bush, 75, passed away on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 after an extended illness. Ms. Bush was born in Seoul, South Korea on October 18, 1945. She is pre-deceased by her mother and father; her husband, Bill; her sister, Hyon Suk Jacobs; and her nephew, Kevin Pak. Ms. Bush is survived by her daughter, Sue Bush Shelton (Brian); her brothers, Sang Yu Pak (Myong) and Sang Un Pak (Sung); her granddaughters, Evie Shelton and Zoey Shelton; and several nieces and nephews. Hyon was a long-time active member of the Korean Community Presbyterian Church. During her lifetime, she managed several successful small businesses before retiring. Hyon was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her. Services will be held on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at 2:30pm at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington located at 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC, with burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Columbia. Visitation will be held from 1:30-2:30pm on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at the Funeral Home. Hyon spent a lifetime in service to others. She was kind, loving, generous, and humble. She loved taking care of animals (especially cats and birds) and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. Hyon was a faithful servant of the Lord and is now at home with her Lord and Savior. He is Risen!
