Goose Creek, SC---Kenneth Robert Turner 80 passed away August 8, 2021. He was born in Allentown, PA on Aug. 3, 1941, the son of the late Kenneth Bennett and Marie Hartman Turner. He is survived by his wife of 59 years Gloria Hopson Turner, three sons William (Billy), Robert (Bobby) (Charlene), and Brett Turner. He has 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Bob joined the Navy when he was 17, in Oct. 1958 and served 21 ½ years. When he retired from the Navy he worked at Charleston Water Systems as Maintenance Shop Supervisor and retired from there in Dec. 2003. Bob loved cars and over the years he owned many Corvettes and Street Rods. He loved attending the car shows and talking to people. A service will be held Sept 9, 2021 at Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation at 281 Treeland Dr. Suite C Ladson, SC Visitation is 10:00 – 10:45 and service is 10:45. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the ADM James B. Osborn Memorial Scholarship Fund and can be sent to Scholarship Fund Chairman, Carl Chinn, 217 Brailford Road, Summerville, SC 29485-5405
