Karen Lee Holmes (Gammy) In loving memory of Karen Lee Holmes, 69, of Goose Creek, SC, born on October 20th, 1948 in Trenton N.J. passed away on Wednesday, March 28th with her loved ones by her side. She was a very loving, giving, and hard working woman. She loved her family more than life itself and would give you the shirt off her back. She was known for her amazing cooking and catering. She also consoled abused children and spent endless days at the ballfield being the team mom, coaching, or cheering on the nieces and nephews. She will also be remembered by her famous fudge that she made personally for you, or you bought it at your local Piggly Wiggly. When it came to her family there wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for them, she would cross oceans and climb mountains to make sure everyone was alright and happy! To know Gammy was to love Gammy. Gammy didn’t know a stranger. She was the definition of a genuine soul. She will be sorely missed by so many. In honor of Gammy on October 20th every year you put on your best sweat pants, pink or green shirt and flip flops just for her. • Karen was survived by: • Mother –Antoinette Christine Schmidt • Children- Melodee Ann Lane (Scott) and Donald Holmes Jr. • Grandchildren- Brittanee Lee Allen (John), Marissa Lynn Lane (Brandon), Michael Anthony Browder (Danielle), Joseph Michael Browder, Hunter Calvin Holmes and Chase Lee Holmes. • Great Grandchildren- Jehsey T.
