Rose Harding

Rose Harding April 26, 1915 �" November 7, 2008 Age: 93 Residence: LaSalle, Colorado Tribute: Rose Harding was born in LaCrosse, Kansas to John and Elizabeth (Weigant) Schneider. She grew up in Bazine, Kansas where she attended school in a one room schoolhouse. Mrs. Harding moved with her family to Greeley as a young woman. She later moved to Denver where she worked and met Henry Harding. They were married on March 26, 1946 in Greeley. They moved back to Greeley and he farmed in west Greeley. Mr. Harding passed away on Dec. 5, 1966. After his passing, Mrs. Harding moved her family to LaSalle and worked for the Weld RE-1 School District in the cafeteria and as a bus driver. She loved children and was active in her own children’s education by her involvement in the P.T.A., as a member of the school board for one year and volunteering in various school activities. She also worked for B.O.C.E.S. as the special education bus driver for fifteen years. Mrs. Harding was a kind and big-hearted person who was always willing to help others. She was a charter member of the Gilcrest Garden Club and a lifetime member of the Seventy-day Adventist Church in Greeley. Mrs. Harding died Friday, November 7, 2008 at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. She will be remembered by her family as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and "G.G.”. Survivors: Her daughter, Beth Tucker and husband Chuck of Pierce, CO; son, Charles Harding and wife Julie of Platteville, CO; granddaughters, Kristi Armojo and husband Rudy of Windsor, CO, Lindsey Klein and husband Jeff of Greeley; grandsons, Chad Harding and wife Kristina of Greeley, and Ryan Harding and wife Carla of Platteville. She is also survived by her sister, Marletta Niccoli and husband Joe of Denver; a brother, Roy Schneider of Michigan; and very special friends, Virginia Zahn and Lilly Lorenz. Preceded in Death: Her husband; parents; sisters, Molly Herbel, Esther Heinze and Sylvia Schneider; and special friends, Toby Grosskopf and June Hancock. Visitation: 5:00 -8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at Adamson Chapel in Greeley. Services: 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1002 21st Avenue in Greeley. Interment: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Greeley. Note: Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Northern Colorado in care of Adamson Chapel, 2000 47th Ave., Greeley, CO 80634.
