Our beloved father, Jim Harring, 70, of Commerce City, CO died Saturday, February 7, 2009. He was born June 4, 1938 to Gregory E. and Vivian (Evans) Harring in Greeley, CO. Jim graduated from Ault High School in 1957 and was an accomplished lifetime machinist, car enthusiast, artist, baseball coach, father and grandfather extraordinaire. He loved his sports, building hot rods, car shows and races and restoring his ‘55 Chevy "Dream” machine. Taken from us too soon, he is survived by his son, David Harring and wife Lori; daughter, Joan Harring (Francis Salazar); grandchildren, Shannon Harring and Harrison Broda; brother, Bill Harring and wife Sharin; nephews, Kenny, Greg, Chad and Ross Harring; nieces, Kim and Ann Harring, and pets, Gracie and PeeWee. He is preceded in death by his father, Gregory, mother, Vivian, and brother, Fr. Gregory Harring. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 13, 2009 at the Ault Cemetery. A Gathering and Celebration of Jim’s Life will be at 4:00 p.m. Friday at the FOE #3461 Eagles, 8160 Rosemary Street, Commerce City, CO. Note: In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jim’s name to the "Make A Wish Foundation” c/o Adamson Funeral & Cremation Services, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley, CO 80634.
