Eleanor Gail Speaker

Eleanor Gail Speaker, 69, of Evans, Colorado died Friday, February 5, 2010 at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. She was born November 16, 1941 in Warshoals, SC to Vernon and Billie (Cagle) Griffith. At the age of three the family moved to Sacramento, CA where she grew up and attended School. She moved to Colorado in 1969. On September 15, 1979 she married Carl Speaker in Loveland, CO. Mrs. Speaker was a homemaker most of her life, however for a number of years she worked as a cook at North Shore Manor in Loveland. In 1992 she opened her own dog grooming business, "Hobos and Honeys”. She was very outgoing and made friends easily. She was generous and always willing to help others in a time of need. Her family will remember her as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband Carl Speaker of Evans; daughter, Leah "Jamie” Shostrom of Greeley; sons, Dale Proctor and wife Karen of Enid, OK, Clyde Proctor and wife Tammy of Fort Collins, CO; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth South of Columbia, SC. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jack Griffith and Ray Griffith; and sister, Kate Finley. Memorial service will be at 7:00 p.m., Monday, February 8, 2010 at Adamson Chapel.
