Florentina Milhone

Florentina Milhone, 92, of Greeley, passed away on October 22, 2021, in Fort Collins, Colorado. She was born March 14, 1929, in the Philippines to Pedro Laspobres and Cristina Mahilum. She arrived in the United States in her early 20’s with her husband, Harold, and spent her early years raising her family and establishing a life in Colorado. She was employed by a local clothing store and her talent of being a seamstress was something she carried on her entire life. In her retired years, she and her late husband Art, were landlords to students at the University of Northern Colorado. She had many hobbies and interests throughout her lifetime. She would enjoy sewing, cooking traditional Filipino food, tap-dancing, traveling on cruises, visiting the Philippines and even competed in the Senior Olympics. She was a part of various social clubs and groups and was very active in her church. She loved hosting and attending gatherings with her family and friends and loved her family dearly. Florentina is survived by daughter, Marilyn Brashear and son, James Lake; grandchildren, Melissa Brashear, Joseph Brashear, Stephanie Andrews (Brent), Sarah Tracy (Steve), Amy Roberts, and Caleb Lake; great grandchildren, Gunner, Emily, Olivia, Addison, Cameron, Kennedy, Lane, Bryson, and Brynn and siblings; Remegia Ferrolino, Virginia Montano, Gena Cervantes, Rudy Laspobres. She was preceded in death by her parents; first spouse Harold Lake, second spouse Arthur Milhone, daughter Mary Douglas (Dennis) and siblings; Magdalena Yu, Patrocenio Laspobres, Genaro Laspobres. Services will be held in Greeley on March 24, 2022, at Adamson Life Celebration Home at 11:00 a.m. with reception to follow at Adamson Life Celebration Home.
