Dennis Edward Farber

In lieu of flowers, remembranes in Dennis's name may be made to the Disabled Veterans of America. Dennis Edward Farber resident of Milwaukie, Oregon passed away on October 31st, 2015 at the age of 72. Dennis was born in Staples, Minnesota. He spent part of his childhood there and also lived in Rodondo, California, where he graduated from Aviation High School in 1961. He grew up with his parents, Silas and Anna Farber and two younger brothers, Lonnie and Kenny. Dennis moved to Oregon in 1961, after High School, and in 1962 met Elsie June Brown at the Hillsboro Nazarene Church. They married in 1964. They had one daughter, Tamelia. He served two years in the National Guard. Dennis and Elsie settled in Milwaukie, Oregon and Dennis worked at Esco Steel Company as an engineer from 1966-2006. Family was important to Dennis and he enjoyed visiting and would take time to go see them. If anyone was hurt or in the hospital, he'd be there to help or just be available for moral support. When Dennis was younger, he'd hunt and fish, but his soft heart for animals put an end to hunting and his hobbies changed to golf. Later, he spent many years practicing Jujutsu, becoming a second-degree black belt. He did this for as long as he was able. His more current hobby was going to the gun range and having lunch with friends. Dennis is survived by his wife Elsie, of 51 years, his daughter, Tamelia Aday and three grandsons, Joshua, Benjamin and Jaron. He is also survived by his mother, Anna Farber, and brother Lonnie Farber. He will be greatly missed. He was a kind and generous man to his family and friends. He donated to many causes - one of them being the Disabled Veterans. Because of this, in lieu of flowers, we would like any donations to be made for the Disabled Veterans. The family would love to see stories and memories of Dennis on the guestbook or condolence page. His memorial will be held on Monday, Nov. 23, 2015 at Scappoose Foursquare Church, in Scappoose Oregon at 11:00 am. Service Information
