Robert "Bob" Wodke

Robert "Bob" Wodke, 73, passed away on January 1, 2018 in his treasured home in Charlotte, NC. He was born on August 17, 1944 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Elmer Wodke and Lillian Licha Wodke. After spending his youth and adolescent years in St. Paul, MN Bob graduated from the University of Minnesota and later received his Master's Degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where he later returned to his alma mater as a Professor of Philosophy. To call Bob a modern Renaissance Man is an understatement. In addition to his teaching career he honorably served in the US Army during the Vietnam War, was an avid collector of antiques, wrote and sang beautiful music, worked in construction, adventured across the world, and owned his own company as well. Bob is survived and will be greatly missed by his daughter Brittany Coggin Webber, her mother Terri Coggin, Bob's loving Charlotte Family: The Coggin's, and siblings: Barbara Wodke, Deborah Wodke, Gary Wodke, and Richard Wodke. For Bob's family and friends, his passing concludes an exceptional life filled with literature, learning, laughter, leisure, and leadership.
