Dr. Albert J. Beck - “Al” passed on Wednesday, June 12, 2024. He is survived by his wife Nancy Beck, sister Madeline Beck, one niece and nephew, and cousins.
Al was know for his witty personality and passion for environmental and ecological studies. He served in the US Army, earned a PhD in Zoology from UC Davis, was a former professor at Chico State, and most recently was an independent environmental impact consultant.
He served on the Butte County Mosquito & Vector Control District Board of Trustees until December 2023.
Al was a coin enthusiast and traveled the globe as part of his studies and hobby.
