Ronald "Ron" Lester Copsey
January 19th, 1944 - March 21st, 2014
RONALD L. COPSEY age 70 of Jefferson, passed away unexpectedly on Friday March 21, 2014. He was born on January 19, 1944 in Charleston, South Carolina son of late Lester and Edith (Dallman) Copsey. He married Ann Barker on June 3, 1972 at Lake Mills. Ron was employed at APV Crepaco in Lake Mills for many years before his retirement Ron enjoyed fishing, woodworking, camping, taking trips, had a love of all dogs and appreciated contemporary Art. He loved jazz music and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Jefferson. He will be deeply missed and is survived by his wife Ann Copsey of Jefferson, Mother in law; Norma Barker of Lake Mills Daughter Amy (Todd) Copsey-Baumann of Mosinee WI Son; Nicholas (Sarah) Copsey of Jefferson Grandchildren; Connor and Brooke Baumann, Noah, Owen and Isabella Copsey Sister; Janice (Marvin Kuntz) Simmons of Jefferson Brother; James Copsey of Oxford CT. He is preceded in death by his father- in- law; Carroll "Lefty" Barker, Sister- in- law Becky Copsey. Brother- in- law; Colon "Buzz"Simmons Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday March 28, 2014 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Jefferson with the Rev. Jeanette Thorp officiating, burial to follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Fort Atkinson. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday evening at the Schneider-Michaelis Funeral Home in Jefferson, and then again at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
