June 22nd, 1921 - July 20th, 2013
LEONA S. HOEFT age 92 of Jefferson passed away peacefully at Alden Estates of Countryside on Saturday July 20, 2013. She was born on June 22, 1921 in Watertown, daughter of the late William and Martha (Schultz) Bloedorn. She married Lester Hoeft on December 25, 1940. Leona was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Jefferson. She was the beloved mother of Judy Slivka of Jefferson and Glo Hoeft of Bradenton Florida. Cherished grandmother of Scott (Elise) Blasing of Lake Mills, Michelle Cox of Jefferson, Brent Blasing of Jefferson; great grandmother of Chelsea Harkness of Jefferson, Kyle (Melissa) Blasing of Jefferson, Chance Blasing of Los Angeles, California, Emily Cox of Jefferson. Two sisters-in-laws, Virginia Dobbratz of Watertown, Lorraine Hoeft of Sun City, Arizona. Leona will be remembered by many other relatives and friends. While Leona and Lester lived in Florida, her greatest pleasure was playing and singing in the kitchen band. She and Lester also enjoyed taking the grandchildren camping. Leona is also preceded in death by; her beloved husband Lester in 1985, seven sisters, one brother, one very special great grandson Nicolas Cox. A private family burial will be held at a later date Those planning on expressing sympathy through memorial may direct them to the Jefferson Rainbow Hospice.
