Donna "Baker" Kay McNicholas
August 23rd, 1962 - August 18th, 2017
Donna Kay Mc Nicholas, 54 of Beaverton Oregon passed away on August 18, 2017. Donna was born August 23, 1962 in Portland, the youngest of four daughters to Gary and Barbara Baker. She graduated from Beaverton High School and attended classes at Portland State University. She met her husband Damian at a popular swimming spot on the Wilson River. They married in the summer of 1985 and later became the proud parents of two sons, Jeremiah Damian, and Tyler William. Donna loved her family and was a devoted wife and mother. She was active at her sons’ schools and all of the activities and sports programs they participated in. The college graduation of each of her boys was one of her most cherished memories. Donna taught aerobics, ran an after school child care program and for 15 years did insurance billing and finance for a medical doctor. At home she liked baking, crafts, puzzles, reading, movies, gardening and playing games as a family. She especially enjoyed the traditions preparing for holidays which brought family and friends together. Donna loved the outdoors. She and Damian enjoyed RV camping, especially at the coast and Kah-Nee-Ta. She loved to swim in the sun and dance under the moon. She had a determined fighting spirit with an equal dose of humor. Recently, she adopted a rescue dog Dee, who became a new joy in her life. Donna always expressed gratitude for even the smallest of gestures. She is survived by her husband Damian, their two sons Jeremiah and Tyler, her mother Barbara, and her sisters Teri, Tracy and Diane. A graveside service will be held Monday August 28, 2017 at 12:30 PM at Valley Memorial Park, 3809 SE Tualatin Valley Hwy, Hillsboro Oregon. Donna loved to say the Rosary and the Lord’s Prayer was her favorite. She will be missed by all whose lives she touched. Service Information
