Charles G. "Charlie" Neuhaus, age 90, of Gloversville, died Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Nathan Littauer Hospital, Gloversville. He was born October 6, 1924 in Johnstown, the son of the late Henry and Maria Guibert Neuhaus. He served his country faithfully in the Army during World War II and lived in Gloversville following the war. He was employed as a machinist by General Electric Company in Schenectady, followed by many years at the former Rainbow Restaurant in Johnstown. Charlie was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit. He was an avid Yankee fan and enjoyed playing games on his computer. Charlie had three sons: Charles, William and James. He was predeceased by his companion of many years, Rose Kobuskie, whose children are: Janelle Reuter of Johnstown, Genia Meinhold (James) of Saratoga Springs and Jamie Barone (Joseph) of Gloversville. Also surviving are several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother and sister: Bernard Neuhaus and Marie Chamberlain. There will be no calling hours. A private Prayer Service will take place at the convenience of the family at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville, with the Rev. James Davis officiating. Interment will take place in the spring at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Johnstown.
