Michael Flowers #22

Michael Flowers, 21, of Church St. Amsterdam, NY, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, May 11, 2014 in Little Falls, NY. Born in Brooklyn NY, on August 18, 1992. He was the son of Tawanna Corner & Barshay Corner. Michael moved to Amsterdam at the age of 5, where he received his education and graduated from Amsterdam high school in 2011. High School Football was Michael's life, he made the Varsity Team his first time trying out. Michael helped his team the Amsterdam's Rugged Rams to playoff leading them to Winning the game, and the title of 1,000-yard runner on the 2010 Football team. Michael was an all around team player, he treated each player like family. Football led him to Track and Field where he went to the prestigious Eddy Meet, he later became the top finisher at sectionals and made it to the 2011 state Championship in the 200 meter dash. Michael received the All-Star award for section II Football Class A Division. After high school he attended Mohawk Valley Community College for computer engineering & science, this leading him to transfer to Herkimer County Community College to further his education in computer engineering and science, where he was to graduate this year. Michael leaves to mourn his mother Tawanna Corner, his father Barshay Corner, and siblings Nachez , Barshay Jr and Brooklynn. He also leaves to mourn his Grandmother Kiaso Violet Walker, Adell Corner and his Grandfather, Elbert Corner and the late Willie Walker, his aunt/ uncle Valerie and Sean Banks, Jermaine, along with a host of many Great aunts, great uncles, cousin's and friends, and his United Band of Brother's. Funeral services will be held on Saturday May 17, 2014 at 12:00 Noon at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam with Pastor Ray Barnett presiding. Interment will be in Greenhill Cemetery, Amsterdam. The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday prior to the funeral service from 10:00A.M. to 12:00Noon at the funeral home.
