Obituary Montgomery County Amsterdam, NY Lillian K. Siegenthaler , 82, formerly of Broadalbin, NY, passed away Saturday May 10, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam with her loving family at her side. Born in Brooklyn, NY on June 25, 1931 a daughter of the late Hans Frederick and Margaret Lucie Meyn Kindt. Lillian moved to the Amsterdam area as a child and became a lifelong area resident. She began work at the Mohawk Carpet Mills in Amsterdam as a Secretary. She then went to work at St. Mary's Hospital as a switchboard operator until leaving and going to work at Key Bank. She remained at Key Bank for over 25 years and retired as Assistant Vice President and Manager of the former Mohawk Mall Branch in Schenectady retiring in 1994. During her career she was the last branch manager of the Johnstown, NY branch of Key Bank. She was former Treasurer of the Salvation Army of Schenectady, NY. Member of the Business and Professional women and of the Lutheran Faith. She married Albert Siegenthaler in 1950. He passed away in 1981. Her survivors include two children, Thomas W. (June) Siegenthaler of Gambrills, Maryland and Gail Marie(Mark) Waselauskas of Broadalbin, NY. One brother, Walter Kindt of Australia. Five cherished grandchildren, Mark (Amy) Siegenthaler of Danville, NY and Michael (Jennifer Legault) Siegenthaler of Malone, NY, Peter McNamara of Amsterdam, Ryan McNamara of Arnold, MD and Amy Bell of Gambrills, MD. 7 great-grandchildren. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. She was predeceased by her brother, Walter Kindt of Australia. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 10:00A.M. at the Betz, Rossi and Bellinger Family Funeral Home with Rev. Cynthia Leonard presiding. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Amsterdam. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday May 13, 2014 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00P.M. at the funeral home.
