Mrs. Michelle A. Markert , 50, of Brower Road, Palatine Bridge died suddenly on Monday, December 9, 2013. Born in Gloversville, New York on September 7, 1963 she was the daughter of the late Robert Vaughn and Glenice Goulding Wrobel. Michelle was educated locally and was a graduate of FMCC. She was employed for Montgomery Transitional Services as a Program Director until her retirement. She was predeceased by her parents and son, Michael Waffle. Survivors include her husband, Gary Markert; and several other family members and friends. Services for Michelle will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at 2 o'clock at the Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego Street, Canajoharie. Interment will take place in the spring at Canajoharie Falls Cemetery. Friends and relatives and invited and may call prior to the service beginning at noon. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the Montgomery County SPCA, PO Box 484, Amsterdam, NY 12010 or to the Montgomery County Office for the Aging, 135 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
