Kenneth L. Simek

Kenneth L. Simek age 52 years of Perth NY died 9/10/17 due to injuries from an ATV accident. He was born 6/7/1965 in Gloversville NY and is the son of the late Douglas and Claire (Landry) Simek. He is survived by 2 sons Peyton L. Simek and Parker B. Simek whom he loved and cherished beyond measure. He is also suvived by 3 sisters Donna (Tony) Carravella of Florida, Michelle (Peter) Gutliph of Delancey NY, and Jacqueline Althiser of Illinois and 2 brothers Michael(Diane) Simek of New Hampshire and Doug Simek of Gloversville NY. Ken touched many lives and had so many friends. He treasured all of them immensly. Relatives and Friends are invited to call at the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville NY 12078 on Sunday 9/17/17 from 2 to 5 PM with a funeral service at the funeral home at 5 PM with the Reverend Bonnie Orth Pastor of the Mayfield Central Presbyterian Church of Mayfield NY Officiating. A private cremation will follow and burial of Kenneth's cremains will take place at a later date in the family plot of the Ferndale Cemetery. During Kenneth's lifetime he was born in Gloversville NY, and currently he was living in Perth NY. He was a graduate of Linton High School in Schenectady NY. He was a former Emergency Room RN at Albany Medical Center. He also was a former Emergency Department RN at St. Clare's Hospital in Schenectady NY. Kenneth currently was a Nursing Supervisor Medical Imaging, Vascular Access Nurse at St. Mary's Healthcare, Amsterdam NY .
