Mr. Daniel N. Miller, 75, of Langley Road, Town of Florida, died peacefully on Friday, August 24, 2012 following a brief illness. Born in Amsterdam on July 30, 1937 he was the son of the late Leo and Evelyn Bubniak Milonovich. A lifelong area resident, Dan was a graduate of the former Wilbur H. Lynch High School. He was employed with General Electric in Schenectady as a machinist for 31 years until his retirement. He also served proudly with the United States Marine Corps. for a time until his honorable discharge. He was predeceased by his first wife, Betty Jane Dimick Yowel ; his sister, Evelyn Pearo; and a grandson, Travis Krauss. Survivors include his wife, Linda Olin Miller; his son, Kenneth Miller and his wife Carol of Williamsport, MD; a daughter, Monica Miller and partner Dana Kern of Delaware; step children, Matthew Morin and his wife Tabatha of Kentucky and Melissa Krauss of Gloversville; One Sister, Patty Naujeck, four brothers, Ronald, Robert, Michael and Malcom Milonovich and their families; five grandchildren, Luke, Jake, Chanise, Erissa and Nate. Funeral services for Dan will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2012 at 6 o'clock at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam. Relatives and friends are invited to gather prior to the service beginning at 4 o'clock. Private interment will take place in the Pine Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Town of Florida Volunteer Fire Department, State Hwy 30, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
