Jeannette M. Morgan

Mrs. Jeannette M. Morgan, age 101, of Gloversville, died on July 6, 2017 at Mountain Valley Hospice. She was born August 20, 1915 and was the daughter of August and Emma Rabbatoy Girard. Jeannette was one of seven children of which four lived to be ninety six years of age or better. She married George S. Morgan on February 24, 1934 and they enjoyed 48 years of marriage. George predeceased her in 1982. Jeannette is survived by her two children, Jeannette M. Seyfried (Walter) of Fort Johnson and George A. Morgan (Janice) of Gloversville. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Stephen Seyfried (Sandra), Deborah Feathers, Christopher Morgan, Stephanie Roy (Derek), Susan Roberson (Clark) and Kathryn Graf (Mark). Also surviving are great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She went to work for JM Rubin & Sons in 1930 and worked there for 50 years retiring in 1980. After her husband died in 1982 she decided to go back to work and worked until age 90, finally retiring from Glove International Inc. in 2005. She amazed many people with her work ethic and stamina. Jeannette was of Catholic faith and was a former parishioner of St. Mary's Church and later Sacred Heart Church. In addition her husband and parents, Jeanette was predeceased by her four brother August, Peter, Adolf and Ovid Girard; and two sisters Mary Girard Blowers and Emma Girard Szymanski. A Prayer Service will be held 10:00AM Monday, July 10th at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St; Gloversville, with the Rev. Donald Czelusniak officiating. Interment will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville. Memorial contributions may be made to in lieu of flowers to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Avenue, Gloversville, NY 12078
