Charles Lefferts Conard

Charles Lefferts Conard, 81, of Perth, formerly of Pennington, NJ, passed away peacefully Monday, November 3, 2008 at the Mt. Valley Hospice House following a brief illness and ending a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease. He was born in Lawrenceville, NJ on August 13, 1927, a son of the late David and Alretta Conard. Charles spent a majority of his life in the Pennington area. He served his country as a corporal with the US ARMY for two years as a young man. He was a machinist by trade and worked at Neiderer and Sons, then for Mobil Research while owning Western Auto in Pennington for several years. His loving family includes his daughters, Diane Conard of Perth and Karen Hanner of Arlington Heights, IL, his granddaughters, Jenn and Alicia Hanner, his brother, John "Jack" Conard of Pennington and his sister, Annabelle Tomlinson of Pennington. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents, Charles was predeceased by his wife, Faye Duvall Conard, and a sister, Marion Rosidivito. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, November 7, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Blackwell Memorial Home, 21 N. Main Street, Pennington, NJ 08534. A Service in celebration of Charles' life will be at 3:00PM on Saturday, November 8, at Calvary Baptist Church, Broad Street, Hopewell, NJ. Interment will be at Princeton Memorial Park. Local arrangements have been entrusted to Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave., Amsterdam, NY. Contributions in Charles' memory may be made to Mt.
