Peter J. Ossenfort

Peter J. Ossenfort, 36, of County Highway 126, passed away suddenly Saturday evening as the result of a pulmonary thrombosis. Born in Amsterdam on March 4, 1969, he was the son of Billie R. Ossenfort and the late Judith Bellen Ossenfort. Peter attended St. Stanislaus? Elementary School and was a 1987 graduate of Amsterdam High School. He later attended Fulton Montgomery Community College. Pete was employed by Reliable Auto Parts and Lou?s Mr. Discount Food Store. For over fifteen years he has been employed by Amsterdam Memorial Hospital as a supervisor in many capacities, most recently as a painter. He was also a retail merchant for Coca Cola in Albany. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed camping and fishing and was a computer buff and also loved art and music. He was a communicant of Our Lady Of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Church in Amsterdam. His loving family includes his son, Nicholas Ossenfort of Ft. Johnson; his fiancé, Susan L. Case of Broadalbin; his father, Billie R. Ossenfort of Perth; his brothers, Tad and his wife Amy Dambrosi of Escondido, CA and Matthew Ossenfort of Amsterdam; his sisters, Lori and her husband Damiano Costantini of Ft. Johnson; Victoria Ossenfort and Melissa LeVoy and her husband Shane all of Amsterdam; nieces, Haley and Faith Dambrosi, Katrina Ossenfort and Tiffany LeVoy; nephews, Adrian Dambrosi and Josh Costantini; Garrett and Austin LeVoy; a great aunt, Edna Gavriluckas of Amsterdam as well as cousins. A Mass Of Christian Burial will be offered Tuesday at 9:15 am at Our Lady Of Mt. Carmel Church. Fr. Lawrence Decker, celebrant. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may call on Monday from 4-8 pm at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam. Interment is in the family plot in St. Casimir?s Cemetery. It is the request of the family that contributions be made in Pete?s memory to Mt.
