Anna Mae Douglass

Mrs. Anna Mae Douglass, of Third Avenue, Canajoharie, NY died suddenly on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at Little Falls Hospital. Born in Morris, NY on November 1, 1940 she was raised by Carl and Anna Damico Stearns. Anna Mae was employed locally by Beech Nut, Liberty and McDonalds. She was also a homemaker and a parishioner of Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church in Fort Plain. Anna Mae was also dedicated to her community by being involved with NAMI and the Lion’s Club for many years. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was predeceased by her parents and her sister Sandra. Survivors include her husband Jackson Douglass of Canajoharie, NY; four children, David Douglass, Stephen (JoAnne) Douglass, Danise (Mick) Butler and Matthew Douglass; four grandchildren, Nicole (Adam) Frank, Kelly Douglass, Shea Butler, Grace Butler; two great grandchildren, Emma and Ethan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, April 15, 2019 at 11a.m. at Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church, 115 Reid Street, Fort Plain, NY 13339. Burial will follow in St. Peter’s & Paul’s Cemetery, Canajoharie. A calling hour will be held prior to Mass beginning at 10a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to NAMI, Riverfront Centre, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
