Bernice L. Fox Hillman, 90, of Johnstown, passed away peacefully at home on August 29, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Bernice was born on August 9, 1931 in Gloversville, NY to William Fox and Edna Rhodes Fox. She was employed by Decca Records and then MCA and Uni until her retirement in 1996. She was a member of the Eagles Club and previously served as president of the Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed going to their camp in Caroga Lake and spending time with family. Bernice will be remembered for her love of animals, loving devotion to her family and a smile that lit up a room. Her survivors include her children, Ken Shults (Imelda) of Gloversville, Kathy Mineconzo (Angelo) of Edinburg, Patty Henry (Dale) of Johnstown and Kelly Galea (Joe) of Gloversville. She is also survived by her grandchildren Lisa Yacano, Jennifer Shults, Shane Chamberlain (Amy), Christopher Henry, Michael Mineconzo, Dustin Mineconzo, Elaina Galea, Sarah Galea and Meredith Galea; ten great-grandchildren and her brother, William Fox Jr. of Wichita, KS. In addition to her parents, Bernice was predeceased by her husband Leon W. Hillman and a son, Terry Shults. At Bernice's request, services will be privately held at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville. Interment will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the James A. Brennan Memorial Humane Society, 437 Nine Mile Tree Rd; Gloversville, NY 12078.
