Scott Adam Murray, age 71, of Amsterdam, formerly of Schenectady, died Monday, February 5, 2024, at Mountain Valley Hospice House, Gloversville. He was born September 26, 1952, in Niskayuna, NY, the son of Lloyd and Doris (Adam) Murray. Scott always put his son and grandchildren first. He was so proud of his grandchildren. They always made him happy and brought a smile to his face when he heard about them. He was great at numbers and accounting, a mystery to many. He loved music. He was shy. He’d give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He was a kind spirit. He was one of three amigos that love each other without question. The Murrays are small in number, but mighty in spirit. Scott is survived by a son, Jason Murray; a sister, Patricia (Murray) Mattice; a brother, James Murray; as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. It was Scott's wish that there be no visitation or services. Arrangements have been entrusted to Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Homes, Gloversville.
