Sallyanne R. Carr, went home to the Lord on Friday, October 8, 2021 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She was born on March 1, 1940 to Martin and Sarah Allen. She was an excellent caretaker and retired as a home health aide. She will be remembered by those who loved her as Grandma Cake as she was an excellent baker and made us kids including nieces and nephews, beautiful birthday cakes. She will also be remembered for her artistic ability to draw, especially horses and for making embroidered Snoopy patches. She was a member of the Nedrow Fire Department, Auxiliary. She was predeceased by many, including her parents, aunts, uncles, tyeo nephews and a niece; her husband Ray F. Carr; brothers, Martin and William Allen; and her sister, Ruby Romeo. She is survived by her children, Cynthia O’Malley, Pamela Carr, Christine Body, Ray M. Carr and Timothy Carr; a brother, Frederick Allen; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Thursday October 14, 2021 from 4-7PM at A. Dewitt Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be Friday, 11AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memory Gardens, Dewitt, NY. Contributions may be made to Hospice of CNY and the Finger Lakes or the Nedrow Fire Department Auxiliary.
