Leonard "Cut" L. Works Jr.
October 14th, 1956 - May 3rd, 2024
Leonard “Cut” Works Jr., age 67 of Syracuse, NY, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. In 1982 Leonard worked at Anoplate Company and in 1983, he worked at University Club in Syracuse, NY. In that same year, he retired. Leonard was honored for 25 years of service as a lead guitarist and background vocalist for the Mediations Band on July 23,2023, by H & W Productions and Jubilee Homes Southwest Showcase Sunday’s. Leonard was a very loving family man who loved his kids, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a very good person, who loved to make people laugh with his jokes and was overall a very kind hearted person. He loved helping people, and if you were having a bad day, he would be the one to cheer you up. Proceeded in death by his mother, Mrs. Willie Mae Works, father Leonard Works Sr., Brothers; Joseph Works, James Works, Jeffery Works, Derek Works and Dion Givens; and his sister, Linda Works and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Works, Daughters; Telisa Givens (Brad), Cakita Givens both of Syracuse, NY., Sons; Leonard M. Works (Vita) and Atari Richardson (Q). His siblings, Sisters; Dorothy Works (Garfield), Chevella Givens, of Syracuse, NY., Brothers; Jerry Works of Boston, MA, Billy Pringle and Kevin Works, both of Syracuse, NY. Leonard Works will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace. Services and burial were performed on May 10, 2024
