Richard "Dick" A. Clarke
July 28th, 1943 - January 19th, 2020
Richard A. Clarke, 76, of Hastings, passed away on Sunday, January 19th. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Dick, as he was affectionately known to his family and friends, truly loved his family. Dick had big shoulders, but an even bigger heart. He would help anyone who was in need. He had many wonderful memories at Black Lake. As a master mechanic and heavy equipment operator, Dick loved his trucks, mostly Dodge and Mopar products. His Dodge Monaco was among his favorites. He retired from OCCRA after 30 years of service. Dick was predeceased by his wife Joyce (Preston) Clarke in 1979, his parents, 2 brothers and 4 sisters. He is survived by his daughter, Bonnie “Lou” (Mark) Lambert; 2 sons, Kenneth (Julie) Clarke and Daniel (Kristie) Clarke; Ten grandchildren; sister, Patricia (Edward) Carroll; many nieces and nephews; the love of his life Kathy Yablonski and his beloved animals Riley and Thumper. Calling Hours will be held from 5 PM to 7 PM on Friday January 24th at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, 2584 Field Lane, LaFayette. Burial will be in Brier Hill Cemetery in the spring. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to The NYSDEC Donations for Recreation and wildlife, 625 Broadway, Albany, NY 12233-4750.
