Michelle "Shelly" M. Erickson
March 21st, 1975 - April 24th, 2023
It is with a heavy heart that we inform you that Michelle (Shelly) Locke Erickson has passed away on April 24th at the young age of 48. Unfortunately, on April 13th, Shelly suffered a terrible stroke that she was unable to recover from. Shelly was born in West Allis on March 21st,1975, the daughter of Mary and James Locke. As a child she excelled in school and was very loving. Shelly always knew that she wanted to be a nurse from early on. She had a knack for always wanting to help people. Shelly met the love of her life, Mark Erickson, in September 2011. They married June 29th, 2013. They spent 10 wonderful years together. To be fully seen and loved by somebody is truly the greatest gift that they gave each other. Although devastated, A spouse’s love is stronger than death. Love never dies. She was a sister to Kristen Locke Coombs (Dave), beloved aunt to Miranda and Cody Coombs. loving wife to Mark Erickson. Adored stepmother to Mitchell Erickson (Melissa), Nicholas Erickson (Alexandra), and Benjamin Erickson. She was a cherished Nana to Matilda Erickson and Rebel Erickson. Shelly will also be dearly missed by her father, James. Shelly was a friend and nurse to many. In 2007, she was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Locke. They were incredibly close. We know that there was a tear-filled reunion in heaven the day Shelly left us. To say that Shelly will be missed is an understatement. She brought love and light to many people and touched countless lives with her generous, kind, and loving personality. As someone once said, “To lose someone so loved, we must not learn to live without them, but to live with the love she left behind.” Shelly’s beautiful spirit will forever be cherished in the lives of her family and friends. Her memorial service will be held on May 20th from 12:00pm to 2:00pm; service starts at 2:00pm at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home located at 237 N Moreland Boulevard, Waukesha, Wisconsin 53188.
