Sheila T. McLaughlin
April 29th, 1927 - July 27th, 2015
Of Waukesha passed away peacefully on Monday, July 27, 2015 at the age of 88 years. Sheila was born on April 29, 1927 and raised in Northern Ireland where she trained as an R.N. through Queen's University. Sheila and Stuart came to the US in 1953 with their first 2 children, Rebecca and Patricia. They first settled in Hammond IN. where Moya and Tony were born. Following a move to Minneapolis they welcomed Kathleen and Steven Timothy. A final move to Brookfield produced Jeannie and Sean. Mom often joked she was never moving again! But they did. After Stuart's retirement they moved to Matlacha FL. where they golfed, fished and enjoyed life to the fullest. Mom was a long time member of Merrill Hills CC and an incredible golfer, winning the club championship numerous times. She also won the Wisconsin State mother daughter championship with her daughter Kathleen. She was an accomplished bridge player and knitter and no one enjoyed life more than Sheila. Her wit and Irish charm will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Loving mother of Rebecca (Bruce) Heckel, Ena Patricia McLaughlin, Moya (Stephen) Smitka, Anthony McLaughlin, Kathleen (Ken) Burns, Ita Jean McLaughlin and Sean (Tori) McLaughlin. Beloved Grandmother of Timothy, Brigid, Shona, Mairead, Thomas, Liam, Caila, Sarah, Stewart, Patrick and Devin. Great grandmother to 7 wonderful children. Preceded in death by her husband Stuart and her infant son Steven Timothy. A memorial service will follow at a later date. Slainte
