George C. Smith, Sr.
July 12th, 1946 - July 8th, 2024
George C. Smith Sr., 77 of Syracuse, passed away on Monday, July 8th, 2024 surrounded by family. He enjoyed spending time with his family and talking on the phone. He would do anything for anybody. He enjoyed wheeling and dealing and going to garage sales, always looking for deals. He worked at Ross bakery with a few siblings and had many funny stories from there. George also worked at Green Hills Farms as a baker.
He is predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Richard, Shirley, Donald, Frederick, Theodore, Lloyd Jr. “Scooch”, Charlene “Chickie”, Francis, Kathleen, James, Thomas, Maureen “Reenie”, Suzanne and Colin “Bengie”.
Survivors are sons, George Jr., Peyton and Matthew (McKenzie); grandchildren, Samantha and Joshua; great grandchildren, Daniel, Ayden, Olivia, Owen, Galaxy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be Friday, July 12, 2024, 11AM at Onondaga Valley Cemetery.
