Gary Clifford Gustafson peacefully passed away June 29, 2024. He was born in Puyallup on July 12, 1947 to Clifford and Gladys Gustafson.

In June 1972 he met Carol Ann Hammon at Matlock’s Berry Farm. He was delivering shavings and she was managing the berry stand. They were married August 25, 1972.

Gary was a proud graduate of Puyallup High School where he played on the baseball team. Everyone knew him by “Gus”. After he graduated he worked as a truck driver and loader operator. He drove for Mckenzie Fuel and later the family business G & G Bark. He also worked at Sparks Stadium. He enjoyed working there and the friends that he made.

Family was important to him. You would often find him watching the grandkids doing their sports. He loved being a grandpa and was excited and looking forward to the coming birth of his first great grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his parents Clifford and Gladys Gustafson. He is survived by his wife Carol, brother LeRoy, children Keith, Laurie (Chris) Plumb, Karen, Grandchildren Amanda, Bailey(Jack) Rose, Wyatt, as well as numerous cousins, in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

He will be greatly missed by not only his family, but the many friends he made throughout his almost 77 years.

Donations in Gary’s name can be made out to “Puyallup High Softball Booster Club”.
