Carole Fowler

Carole Fowler was called to be with the Lord Friday, July 26, 2024. She was born on October 11, 1948, in Hawaii. She was proceeded in death, by her parents, Vance Fowler and Marjorie J Fowler. She is survived by her sister Joan Fowler Endt, Joan’s children and grandchildren as well as her brother Thomas V. Fowler, his wife Jane Fowler, his children and grandchildren.

Carole graduated from Athens high school in Athens, Georgia. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of South Carolina.

After serving as a traveling nurse, she put down roots in Atlanta, Georgia, working at Emory University Hospital until retiring to Hilton head Island, becoming a founding member of the community at TidePointe in 1996. 

During her retirement she enjoyed traveling and the theater. Carole’s hobbies included gardening, needlework, cross stitch, making pillowcases for her family and friends, masks during Covid, as well as collecting treasures. 

Carole had many passions starting with her love of her dog.  She was very thoughtful of other people, always making special treats to pass out to friends and neighbors. A more devoted friend one would never have. 

Carole’s strongest passion was her love for the Lord. 

A graveside service is planned for 11:00 am Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Six Oaks Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hilton Head Humane Association or the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina.
